A preparatory process for the reorganisation of the Certified Mediator Training Ordinance (ZMediatAusbV) has been taking place online for several months.

The key points are now clear:
– The unspeakable self-certification construct is coming to an end and the training institutes are being made responsible for this.
– Individual supervision will now also be explicitly possible in the presence of a group, and
– Online and digital skills will receive a 10h share, so that the basic training will be increased to 130h. The pandemic was the inspiration here.
– It is also particularly significant that in future 5 supervisions for 5 conflict cases will be included in the training programme.
On the whole, it can be said that the corresponding title holders, i.e. so-called Cert. Mediators* will be experienced in practice.

These developments are largely based on proposals from the German Federal Bar Association, although there were, of course, other proposals as well. From the abolition of the ordinance to the creation of a Federal Chamber of Mediators, everything was represented.
