Summary – Evaluative Mediation:

This article deals with the so-called evaluative style of mediation. This way of mediating stems from a particular self-image and has specific methods that are sometimes problematic.

This will be explained in detail. In the first part, the Frame of reference for mediation styles to one or two mental maps which localise the individual mediation styles: Riskin’s Grid and the Basic ideas of mediation.

In the second part of the article, the evaluative mediation style is discussed in detail, in which fields of application it is or can be used, which particular interventions are used (2.2 Selected interventions in the practice of the evaluative mediation style) and which problems and risks can be associated with this style.
