#1 – Introduction to the podcast „Well through time“
Well through time.
The podcast about mediation, conflict coaching and organisational consulting.
What is so fascinating about conflicts? What makes mediation, conflictual negotiation processes and conflicting points of view so interesting that hardly anyone can escape them?
In this podcast, I would like to bring you a little closer to the work and experiences of mediators, conflict coaches and organisational consultants.
So be there when it comes to getting through the time well.

Hello, I'm Sascha Weigel and I'd like to welcome you to my new podcast.
I am a mediator and organisational consultant and deal with conflicts, conflict potential and conflict management on a daily basis.
That's exactly why I want to start this podcast. Here we can discuss these topics in peace and depth: I will think through and critically discuss the unfamiliar with my guests, sometimes addressing the unheard-of, sometimes exciting. Whether in this sense or another. We want to offer orientation, which is particularly important in times of VUCA. I will come back to that.
So in this podcast, I will by no means be talking about the topic alone; rather, I will be speaking with experienced mediatorsfrom different fields of work, talk to coaches, supervisors andorganisational consultantsand with conflict counsellorsgenerally, but occasionally also with people in conflict.
But in this podcast, priority is given to those who support and advise others in difficult situations;
Together with my guests, I would like to tempt you, dear listeners, to reflect on the topics of mediation, conflict coaching and organisational consulting with exciting perspectives and assessments – and we intend that you can develop the brilliant idea or, if necessary, a new solution approach – and perhaps plan the next step.
However, this podcast will also feature other experts, scientists whose specialisms and research findings offer (or at least suggest) important insights for dealing with conflicts in the VUCA world. Last but not least, the podcast aims to promote a committed serenity with this ambiguity and contradiction. It will not work without this serenity, nor without optimism, awareness and humour. We will not be able to deal with the excesses of the VUCA world with science alone.
To keep this introduction short, this is not about saving the world, it doesn't need it. Rather, it should be discussed here, its vukaesque manifestations and the associated potential for conflict.
The conversations in this podcast will therefore be both dialogical and discursive, on the one hand – in dialogue – they will be calm and thoughtful and thus questioning other perspectives and unfolding them in order to ultimately enable visibilities and open them up together, but on the other hand they will also – in discussions and debates – addressing opposing points of view, testing their own and others' positions for robustness, flexibility and accuracy in order to be able to illuminate the potential for problems and conflicts in all their diversity and complexity.
In this podcast, I therefore invite you not only to approach the conflict potential of living and working together from an inner distance, but also to familiarise yourself with the various methods of conflict management in coaching, counselling and mediation in the following episodes, so that you can make informed decisions about the opportunities and potential for you and your organised cooperation with others.
Perhaps, if this podcast achieves its goal, you will get your brilliant idea here or afterwards and develop the next step to succeed in the postmodern, digitalising business and working world.
Enough of the preamble. Thank you very much.
I'm Sascha Weigel – and I'd be delighted if you would join me in the following episodes with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge.
