Mediation.

Basics, legal framework and fields of application.

Publication series of the Munich Centre for Dispute Resolution – Dispute Resolution and Dispute Avoidance in Civil Law (2)

Edited by Prof. Dr Caroline Meller-Hannich / Dr Sascha Weigel

Description of the tape

This volume was produced on the basis of and as part of the basic mediation training programme at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

On the one hand, the articles deal with the basics and the legal framework of mediation, such as the Mediation Act, the possibilities of referring from civil proceedings to mediation, the role of the law or the requirements of the mediator.

On the other hand, special practical fields of application of mediation, from environmental law to sport and hunting law, are selected. The volume is thus intended to serve as a model and stimulus for mediation training and to illustrate to practitioners the legal foundations and fields of application that mediation has or can have.
