All of you, dear listeners, will be familiar with moments when you feel a little shaky on your feet, unsure about what will happen in the next few seconds or hours and what expectations you are facing, be it at an important presentation, the start of a new job or a new project or a new consulting assignment – and you may also feel uncertain at times about what you can expect from yourself and, at best, be curious about the extent to which you will succeed in surprising yourself with your performance. These moments of personal and literally tangible insecurity are by no means exclusively the result of your own inner life or can be explained as such, although your biographical influences and experiences may contribute to this.

In times of great social, political and economic uncertainty, there are also external, albeit less tangible, influences that can give rise to diffuse uncertainty. These noticeably intensify our own uncertainties: Will my job still exist in three years' time? Will the business model with which I started my own business be viable? Will I even be able to manage my job or this assignment according to the standards? Who can help and advise me?

In short, uncertainties and insecurities are omnipresent today and need to be well managed, clarified and integrated by us as counsellors, mediators and coaches.

Both our own insecurities and those that our clients and mediants bring with them or that have even prompted them to seek our help challenge us in our counselling work.

That's what we want to talk about today: dealing constructively with our own uncertainty and the uncertainty of our clients who need counselling.

  • Dealing with uncertainties as a counsellor
  • Dealing with uncertainties among clientsinside and clientinside

Use the process, get involved in it as a counsellor!
