I'm Prof Dr Sascha Weigel, and together with my colleague Dr Frank Termer, we're looking at a fascinating topic today: the world of new technologies, in particular the emerging phenomenon of ChatGPT.<\/p>\n<p>These\u00a0<strong>episode is the beginning of a small series<\/strong>in which Frank and I deal with new technologies and analyse their potential. <strong>Impact on our area of expertise &#8222;CONSULTING&#8220;<\/strong> illuminate. Our aim is to shed light on the opportunities and challenges that these developments bring and to build a bridge between the world of technology and the world of counselling, mediation and conflict coaching.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to join us on this exciting journey as we explore together how these new tools can enrich and transform our work and our everyday lives.\u00a0<strong>ChatGPT<\/strong>, a language generation model, has the potential to fundamentally change the way we communicate and process information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In our conversations, we &#8211; together with our guests &#8211; will shed light on how ChatGPT is able to generate human-like responses in real time and present complex content in an understandable way and how this can help us. We will also discuss the ethical and practical challenges for us consultants that arise from the integration of such technologies in sensitive areas such as mediation, coaching or simply in our office and business organisation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A particular focus is on the impact of ChatGPT and similar AI systems on conflict management. We investigate whether and how AI-supported tools can support mediators and conflict coaches, for example by helping to analyse conflict situations, recognise communication patterns or assist in the preparation of mediation sessions. At the same time, we take a critical look at the limitations of these technologies and the importance of human expertise and empathy in this context.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these specific applications, we also talk about the broader societal and ethical implications arising from the rise of AI and automation.
