Even in a highly developed, scientifically sophisticated society that is insured down to the last detail and secured in everyday life, feelings of insecurity (fears) and thoughts of uncertainty (concerns!) are not uncommon. This is especially true in view of the disintegration of old certainties in our western world in the wake of BREXIT, TRUMP, CORONA and the RUSSIA WAR.<\/p>\n<p>In the podcast, we look at everyday strategies and mental airbags for coping with all this &#8211; and remaining navigable even in conflict-laden situations.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><strong><i>Standing strategies<\/i><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p2\"><i>We think ahead and avoid situations that we perceive as potentially threatening. <\/i><i>appear.<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><i>We actively utilise available security systems such as legal frameworks,<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><i>Insurance, labour contracts or healthcare systems.<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><i>We keep supplies and tools that are useful to us in the event of threats. <\/i><i>could bel<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">We enter into contracts for mutual assistance in times of need.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">We keep fit so that we can face life's threats powerfully and intelligently.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">We attach ourselves emotionally to partners, friends, like-minded people, role models, nature and places in order to feel secure in a sense of connectedness.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">We use psychotherapeutic methods to strengthen our adult ego.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\">We use experience, science and world narratives to construct a theory of what is happening in our environment.
